Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV launched in India, runs 423 km in single charge, know price

Mercedes-Benz has launched its new electric SUV, the EQB, in India at a starting price of Rs 74.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has recently launched three electric vehicles expanding its electric lineup in India.

The Mercedes-Benz EQB was set to debut at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show. As per information, Mercedes-Benz has positioned the EQB below the EQC and is now the brand’s new entry-level electric SUV in the Indian market.

Earlier, Mercedes-Benz revealed its plan to go completely electric by 2030. The introduction of electric products by the company reflects the brand’s commitment towards India and the environment.

Coming to the Mercedes-Benz EQB, it measures 4,684mm in length, 2,020mm in width and 1,667mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,829mm. This electric SUV is equipped with features like sliding panoramic sunroof, MBUX control center, voice commands, smartphone connectivity and wireless charging and electronic tailgate operations.

At the same time, in terms of safety, the company has made it the best. It includes safety features like 8-airbags, active brake assist, active lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, adaptive highbeam assist and TPMS.

EQB is a 7-seater electric SUV. High density lithium ion battery pack and asynchronous motor have been used to power it. The SUV is powered by a 66.5 kW battery pack and produces 228 Bhp power and 390 Nm torque.

It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8 seconds. It can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 32 minutes. Its top speed is 160 km/h. On a full charge, the Mercedes-Benz EQB can offer a certified range of 423 kms.
