Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and GT 63 Pro Performance Coupes Launched in India – Know the Price and Features

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 and AMG GT 63 Pro. Prices start at ₹3 crore.

Luxury carmaker Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its performance lineup with the launch of the new AMG GT 63 and AMG GT 63 Pro. The AMG GT 63 is priced at ₹3 crore (ex-showroom), while the AMG GT 63 Pro costs ₹3.65 crore (ex-showroom).

These models were introduced globally about two years ago and have now arrived in India as Completely Built Units (CBUs). They will be sold in limited numbers. Built on the same platform as the Mercedes-AMG SL 55, both two-door performance models are powered by Mercedes-AMG’s well-known 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which also powers the G 63 SUV.

The new AMG GT 63 retains the coupe styling of its predecessor, featuring a long bonnet, flowing roofline, and a sleek rear section. Updates include a more prominent Panamericana grille, redesigned swept-back headlamps, and sleek LED tail lamps inspired by the previous model. The car is now slightly larger, measuring 4,728 mm in length, 1,984 mm in width, and 1,354 mm in height. Its wheelbase has been increased by 70 mm to 2,700 mm.

Standard exterior color options include yellow, silver, grey, blue, and black. Optional shades include glossy red, glossy white, solid grey, and four ‘magno’ finishes. Interior color choices include black, red, grey, and brown, paired with black accents. Additional optional packages include Chrome, Carbon Aerodynamics, and Night packages.

The larger dimensions provide more interior space and increased boot capacity. The 2+2 seating layout replaces the earlier two-seater setup. Inside, the car features an 11.6-inch vertically oriented touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Nappa leather upholstery, a Burmester surround sound system, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control.

The AMG GT 63 is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine producing 578 bhp and 800 Nm of torque, paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 315 km/h. The car also features four-wheel steering, with the rear axle turning up to 2.5 degrees.

The AMG GT 63 Pro is the more performance-focused version. It uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, tuned to deliver 603 bhp and 850 Nm of torque. This increased performance allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h in just 10.9 seconds—half a second quicker than the standard model. The top speed is 317 km/h.

The GT 63 Pro comes standard with the AMG Aerodynamics Package, AMG Night Package II, and the AMG Carbon Exterior Package. While these are optional on the base GT 63, they come included in the Pro version. The GT 63 Pro also benefits from several mechanical and aerodynamic upgrades.

These include improved engine cooling with an additional radiator, ceramic composite brakes with larger 420 mm front discs, lightweight alloy wheels, and high-performance tyres. It also sports a more aggressive body kit featuring a revised front bumper, carbon-fibre rear wing, new air deflectors, extended side sills, and a rear diffuser.

These enhancements reduce front lift by 30 kg and increase rear downforce by 15 kg. In India, the new Mercedes-AMG GT 63 will compete with rivals like the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS, which is currently priced at ₹2.84 crore (ex-showroom).
