Mercedes-Benz India has launched the AMG E53 Cabriolet in the country at Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom). This is the first launch of this year in India by the German carmaker. Mercedes has also announced its roadmap for the year for the Indian market. It is currently the only open-top cabriolet sold by the company in India.
The AMG E53 Cabriolet is powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder turbocharged mild-hybrid petrol engine that generates 429 bhp power and 520 Nm torque. The engine is mated to an AMG Speedshift 9G automatic gearbox, which sends power to all four wheels.
This sedan is also great in performance. It can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds. At the same time, its top-speed is 250 km per hour. To make the car safer, the company has electronically limited its top speed.
The interiors get a digital console and a long integrated display console for the infotainment system. It has a flat bottom steering wheel with dials to change the settings. To retain the AMG DNA, it gets sports seats with red stitching. Other features include over 50 modes of ambient lighting, wireless phone charging and Burmester surround sound system.

The AMG E53 Cabriolet has two doors. The car includes the signature vertical slat front grille with AMG badging, soft-top roof, a huge Mercedes-Benz logo in the middle of the grille and new LED headlamps with DRLs. It also comes with AMG Ride Control+ suspension which can adjust the suspension according to the road conditions.
