Foreign scientists analyzed the data of more than 184 thousand people who described their relationship problems on an online forum. The researchers tried to understand what difficulties people usually face and who (men or women) mentions these problems more often.
After analyzing the demographic characteristics and psychological characteristics of selected users, the scientists determined which problems were touched by people most often. Difficulties with communication ranked first (every fifth person indicated difficulties in discussing problems, and every eighth – with confidence). It was also common for participants to talk about pain caused by problems rather than the problems themselves, using the words “regret,” “breakup,” “crying,” and “broken heart”.
