The Kaiyi E5 sedan, which is already assembled at the Avtotor plant, should soon go on sale in Russia. According to preliminary data, the price should be very attractive (from 1 million rubles). “Chinese cars” listed the strengths and weaknesses of the car based on feedback from real users.

It’s worth starting with the fact that the car has not become massive in its homeland: since its introduction in 2021, sales in China have amounted to just over 15 thousand units. If we talk about the pros, then it is praised for its design. There are also positive reviews about the free space in the cabin and good equipment. In particular, heating and electrically adjustable front seats are distinguished.

They also praise the standard 1.5-liter turbo engine SQRE4T15C with a capacity of 156 hp, which is installed in the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro Max and Tiggo 8. Due to its lower weight compared to crossovers, the sedan demonstrates good dynamics (9.5 up to 100 km / h), as well as low fuel consumption (in reality, about 8 liters per 100 km of track).

However, the motor also has a problem: this is the burning of oil in the combustion chamber, which manifests itself after long-term operation. This is due to wear of the valve stem seals and an increase in the clearance between the piston and cylinder due to carbon deposits.

Of course, many owners are satisfied with the price of a car, which in China starts at 700 thousand rubles in terms of our money. It is called a great car for an office worker.

The disadvantages include the use of low quality materials in the cabin, which is why there is a distinct smell of cheap plastic. The upholstery of the seats is called too rough, which is why the seat cushion is quite hard.

They also complain about the poor sound insulation of the wheel arches and windows. Rigid suspension does not smooth out bumps in the roadway and vibration. When driving through pits, the suspension often breaks. The steering, according to reviews, is uninformative.

The trunk is criticized for its tight opening, although its volume is about 400 liters.
