Maruti-Toyota will compete with Mahindra XUV700, doing this planning

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are planning to launch a new three-row SUV. Both the auto companies are planning to launch Mahindra XUV700 rival models in the coming times.

Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most successful SUVs in the country. This car has been very much liked by the customers since its launch. First it got record breaking bookings and then the customers had to wait for several months for the delivery. It is one of the cars with the longest waiting period in the country. Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are preparing to bring new SUVs to compete with its popularity.

7 Seater Toyota Corolla Cross

The Corolla Cross is already on sale in the international market. The wheelbase could be extended to bring a third-row to India. Some of its elements can be retained, but the rear door can be longer and the design of the rear part can be changed. The 7 seater Corolla is based on the TNGA-C platform like the recently launched Innova Hycross.

It is expected to get the power of 2.0L four cylinder NA petrol and 2.0L Atkinson cycle TNGA strong hybrid petrol engine. Its prices could be higher than the Urban Cruiser Hyrider and lower than the Fortuner.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara XL

Maruti Suzuki is also preparing to introduce a three-row version of the Grand Vitara SUV. According to the auto website Gaadiwaadi, this car can be launched in the middle of this decade. At the same time, in 2025, the country’s largest car company can also launch the first electric SUV. The three-row Grand Vitara could be developed on the Global C platform like the existing 5 seater version.

It is expected to get the power of 1.5L three-cylinder TNGA Strong Hybrid petrol engine like Grand Vitara and Hyrider. It will be the flagship SUV of Maruti Suzuki when it comes to the market.
