Maruti S-Cross discontinued: Maruti Suzuki is continuously adding new models to its portfolio. Along with bringing back its Alto K10, the company has launched the new SUV Grand Vitara. The new Grand Vitara will be sold through the company’s Nexa dealership. However, now it seems that the company has secretly discontinued an old car with the arrival of the new car. Yes, Maruti Suzuki’s crossover car S-Cross seems to be discontinuous. The company has quietly removed it from its official Nexa website.
If you go to the company’s Nexa website (nexaexperience), you will see only 5 models – Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6 and the recently introduced Grand Vitara. In such a situation, it is possible that the newly launched Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara has replaced the S-Cross. Let us also tell you that this vehicle of the company was not able to do anything special in sales. In such a situation, with the arrival of Grand Vitara, sales would have reduced even more.
Let us tell you that Maruti Suzuki launched the S-Cross premium crossover in 2015 . Initially, it was brought with a 1.6-litre diesel engine, which was later discontinued after 2017. It was also available with a 1.3-litre diesel engine, which was borrowed from Fiat Chrysler. At present, this car was being sold only with the 1.5-litre mild hybrid option.
The company used to sell it as its most premium model. However, it did not succeed much in attracting customers. There was a steady decline in the sales of the car. Maruti Suzuki did not produce a single unit of the S-Cross in July and August this year. Apart from this, the company had also revealed that the Grand Vitara will replace the S-Cross.
