Maruti Suzuki Price Hike: The country’s leading car company, Maruti Suzuki, has increased the prices of the Grand Vitara and Swift. The price hike on these cars came into effect on April 10.

Maruti Suzuki Price Hike: Maruti Suzuki has raised the prices of two of its popular cars. The car manufacturer has increased the prices of the Grand Vitara Sigma and the Swift. Maruti Suzuki’s Swift (hatchback) has seen a price increase of Rs. 25,000, while the price of the flagship SUV, Grand Vitara Sigma, has gone up by Rs. 19,000. Maruti Suzuki had previously announced that due to cost increases, car prices would be raised in April.

New prices of Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Sigma

Maruti Suzuki has bumped up the price of the entry-level Sigma variant of the Grand Vitara SUV by Rs. 19,000. The ex-showroom price of this Grand Vitara variant was Rs. 10.76 lakh. Following the price increase by the car manufacturer, the new ex-showroom price now stands at Rs. 10.95 lakh. The prices of other variants of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara remain unchanged. The top-spec Alpha Plus Intelligent Hybrid variant of the Grand Vitara holds the highest price, with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 19.97 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Swift prices also see an increase

The car manufacturer has also hiked the price of its popular hatchback, the Swift, by Rs. 25,000. The ex-showroom price of the Maruti Suzuki Swift previously ranged from Rs. 5.99 lakh to Rs. 9.03 lakh. The price hike for Swift variants took effect from April 10. However, the company has not yet disclosed which variant’s price has been increased. The facelift version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift may hit the market by the end of this year.

Maruti Suzuki had previously increased the prices of its cars earlier this year in January to cope with rising production costs.
