Maruti Suzuki Engage MPV is coming in a few months, will be equipped with these features

Maruti Suzuki Engage Specifications: Maruti Suzuki is preparing to bring its new flagship MPV to the Indian market in the next few months. It will be based on the Toyota Innova Hycross MPV, which may be named Maruti Engage. The company will source this MPV from Toyota and it will be the costliest model from Maruti. The company has confirmed that this new MPV will arrive by July 2023. But its launch date has not been disclosed.

How much will be the cost?

The Engage MPV will be the costliest offering from Maruti Suzuki in India. Its base variant may be slightly more affordable than the Innova Hycross, while its top hybrid variant will be slightly more expensive. Its ex-showroom prices can be between Rs 18.20 lakh to Rs 29.50 lakh.

The new Maruti MPV will get a choice of 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle and 2.0-litre petrol engines, similar to the Toyota Innova Hycross. Its strong hybrid version generates power of 184bhp with e-drive transmission. While its regular petrol variant generates an output of 172 bhp/205 Nm. It can get a mileage of 23.24 kmpl with hybrid and 16.13 kmpl with petrol.

Maruti Engage Design

Toyota’s monocoque chassis will be used for the new Maruti MPV and it will be based on the TNGA-C platform. Its exterior design may be slightly different from the Hycross, but its dimensions will be similar to Toyota’s MPV.

 

Maruti Engage Features

Maruti Engage will get features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Lane Keep Assist, Pre Collision System and Rear Cross Traffic Alert with ADAS technology. Along with this, safety features like traction control, 6 airbags, electronic stability program and ABS with EBD will also be available. Other features include ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, memory function for the driver’s seat, paddle shifters, dual-tone black and brown interiors with dark chestnut leather seat upholstery, panoramic sunroof and powered tailgate, wireless with smartphone support A 10.1-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system will be available.

who will compete

This car can compete with the Mahindra XUV700, which also gets a diesel and a petrol engine, ADAS system and a lot of other features.
