Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition: Maruti Suzuki launched Jimny in May this year with a starting price of Rs 12.74 lakh (ex-showroom). At the time of launch it seemed that it was getting good response from customers but it does not seem to be happening. The general opinion about the 5-door Jimny is that it is very expensive. Keeping this in mind, the company recently launched a new and affordable version of Jimny – Thunder Edition. But, this is a limited-run model.

Maruti Jimny Thunder Edition prices start at Rs 10.74 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 14.05 lakh (ex-showroom). The Thunder Edition is available across all four variants of the Jimny lineup and will go on sale only in December 2023. Compared to the starting price of the regular Jimny, the Thunder Edition is cheaper by Rs 2 lakh.

The Jimny Thunder Edition has special body decals. Additionally, it comes with silver garnish on the front bumper, side door cladding and door visor. There is also garnish on the ORVMs, hood and front/side fenders. The cabin looks better thanks to an interior styling kit that includes floor mats (separate for manual and automatic variants), and a tan-finished steering wheel.
Apart from this, the rest of the elements and layout inside the cabin remains the same as the regular Jimny. It has features like 9-inch touchscreen, cruise control, auto climate control, electronic stability program (ESP), reverse parking camera and six airbags.
Jimny Thunder Edition Powertrain
There is no change in the powertrain specs of the Jimny Thunder Edition. It also comes with a 1.5-litre K15B naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 104 bhp and 134 Nm. This unit can be had with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. All variants are equipped with 4×4 drivetrain with low-range gearbox.
