Maruti recalls 16,000 cars: Baleno, WagonR fuel pump motor problem, company to fix free

India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki has recalled 16 thousand cars due to engine failure. According to the company, there is a problem with the fuel pump motor of Baleno and WagonR.

The company is recalling 11,851 units of Baleno and 4,190 units of WagonR manufactured between July 30, 2019 and November 1, 2019. According to the company, a part of the fuel pump motor of these vehicles is suspected to have a possible defect, which could cause the engine to shut down or cause engine starting problems.

The car will be repaired free of charge

Customers who own these models should take them to the nearest service center and get the necessary repairs done, the company announced. According to the company, if your car is part of the recall, the company will replace the parts of your car free of charge.

Last year too, 7,213 Balenos were recalled

Earlier in April last year, the company had recalled 7,213 units of Maruti Baleno RS (Petrol). These trains were manufactured between 27 October 2016 and 1 November 2019. A defect was discovered in their vacuum pump which could cause difficulty in applying the brakes.
