Currently, Jimny dealer showcases are operational in cities like Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Mohali, Ludhiana, Raipur, Bhubaneshwar and Bengaluru. Deliveries of the Maruti Suzuki Jimny are expected to begin in India by the end of May.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Powertrain
Maruti Suzuki’s 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine powers the Jimny which generates 105hp and 134Nm of peak torque. According to reports, gearbox options include either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque-converter automatic. Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD system can be found in it with a manual transfer case.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny Variant: Features
The Jimny is available in only two trims – Zeta and Alpha. It gets headlamps, Smartplay Pro Plus infotainment system and Arkamys sound system. However, Maruti Suzuki is expected to get safety features like 6 airbags and hill-hold assist.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Price and launch date
There is a possibility that the price of Jimny may be around Rs 12 lakh. The upcoming car is likely to go on sale in May 2023. It will not have any direct rivals at the time of launch. Mahindra and Force are also developing a 5-door version of the Thar.
