Maruti Dzire CNG: The country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of its compact sedan Dzire. The company has fixed the starting price of this car at Rs 8.14 lakh (ex-showroom). This S-CNG vehicle of Maruti Suzuki is equipped with intelligent injection system. The vehicle has been designed in such a way that it is easy to drive in all types of terrain. With the 1.2-litre petrol engine, the Dzire S-CNG delivers a maximum power of 57kW and a mileage of 31.12 km/kg, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.

Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Director (Market & Sales), MSI said, “As efforts are on to save the environment around the world, the company has continuously worked to promote green vehicles in its portfolio. With transformative technology like S-CNG, more and more customers are looking to switch to S-CNG vehicles to meet their mobility requirements.” The company has introduced this S-CNG trims at a price of Rs 8.14 lakh and Rs 8.82 lakh.

He further added that at present the company has the largest portfolio of 9 S-CNG vehicles. Srivastava said, “Due to the low running cost and high fuel efficiency of S-CNG vehicles, their demand has increased tremendously. We have seen a CAGR growth of 19 per cent in our S-CNG sales in the last five years.” CAGR stands for Compound Annual Growth Rate. He said the launch of the Desire S-CNG will further strengthen the automaker’s vision of green mobility and motivate people to switch to green vehicles in India. The company further said that the powertrain and suspension of the model have been specially designed to provide better engine durability, higher mileage and safety. (PTI)
