1. Engine will be same in both
Both the Toyota Glanza and Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG models get a 1.2-litre petrol engine option along with a 5-speed manual unit. Which generates 77.5 PS power and 98.5 Newton meter torque. Both the hatchbacks are claimed to deliver exceptional fuel efficiency of 30.61 km/kg.
2. There is no difference in dimensions either
Both the Toyota Glanza and Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG models have a length of 3,990 mm, a width of 1,745 mm. Height is 1500 mm and wheelbase is 2,520 mm. At the same time, the capacity of CNG tank is 55 liters. Since the Toyota Glanza is a rebadged version of the Maruti Baleno, both of them share the same dimensions.
3. Features are also almost the same
Both Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have offered CNG option on the base Delta/S and Zeta/G variants of the premium hatchback. In this case, similar features are available in them. Its features include automatic LED projector head light, rear wiper and washer dual-tone interior.
On the other hand, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment, 6-speaker, connected car tech with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is available for entertainment. Also power adjustable, push button start and foldable exterior mirror are available. While for safety, there is a rear parking sensor with 6 airbag cameras.
4. Both have different prices
While the S variant of the Toyota Glanza CNG costs Rs 8.43 lakhs, the Maruti Baleno CNG Delta costs Rs 8.28 lakhs. Due to which the difference between them is Rs 15,000. While the G variant of Toyota Glanza CNG is priced at Rs 9.46 lakh, the Maruti Baleno CNG Zeta variant costs Rs 9.21 lakh.
The Toyota Glanza is Rs 25,000 more expensive than the Baleno CNG. However, it does get some cosmetic improvements and an additional warranty package.
5. Standard Warranty Package
The Toyota Glanza comes with a standard warranty of 3 years / 1 lakh km, while the Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with a factory warranty of 2 years / 40,000 km.
6. Look and Design
The unique front-end styling found on the Glanza sets it apart from the Baleno. It gets a single strip of chrome in the middle of the grille, which is equipped with Toyota badging. At the same time, Baleno has Nexa’s latest wave grille. The front bumper of the Glanz gets a sportier looking air dam along with black cladding that extends from the air dam to the chin, giving it a more dynamic look.
While the air dam makes the Baleno look more premium with horizontal slats, it gets fog lights at either end of the bumper. While the exterior profile of the main head lights of both the hatchbacks remains the same. While both get 16-inch alloy wheels, the design of which is different for each hatchback. The dashboard design of the Toyota Glanza is similar to that of the Baleno. However, it is available in a beige and black dual-tone scheme, which gives it a more upmarket feel.
