Apart from this, due to increased road tax, increase in raw material cost and other taxes, the prices of cars have increased significantly.
Alto K10 becomes entry level model
After discontinuing Maruti’s Alto 800, now Alto K10 has become the cheapest car in the company’s portfolio. Whose ex-showroom price in Delhi is between Rs 3.99 lakh to Rs 5.94 lakh. Earlier, the ex-showroom price of Maruti Suzuki’s Alto 800 was between Rs 3.54 lakh to Rs 5.13 lakh.
How is the Alto 800?
Maruti’s Alto 800 gets a 796cc petrol engine, which generates maximum power of 48PS and peak torque of 69Nm. The company launched this car in India in 2000. Maruti had sold 1,800,000 units of this car till 2010. After this the company launched Alto K10. Since 2010, the company has sold 1,700,000 units of the Alto 800 and 950,000 units of the Alto K10.
