Mahindra’s SUV beat Scorpio and XUV700, became top selling SUV last month

Mahindra’s new SUV is making a splash in the market. The total bookings for the company’s three SUVs, the XUV700, Scorpio-N and the Scorpio Classic, have crossed 1.30 lakh units. Mahindra is getting bookings of 8-9 thousand units of these vehicles every month. Mahindra Scorpio-N and XUV700 come with many modern features and amenities but it is the only SUV from the company that has beaten these two vehicles in sales.

Yes, we are talking about the Mahindra Bolero which has become the company’s best selling SUV last month. Let us tell you that Mahindra sold a total of 32,226 passenger vehicles (SUVs) in October 2022. This was the company’s highest ever sales. At the same time, record sales of 8,772 units of Mahindra Bolero were recorded. In October 2021, 6,375 units of Bolero were sold. Accordingly, the sales of Bolero registered an increase of 38 percent on an annual basis.

The company’s best-selling SUV after the Bolero was Mahindra’s all-new Scorpio-N with 7,438 units sold. Last year, the company was able to sell only 3,304 units of the Scorpio-N in the same month. The company has also achieved good sales of Scorpio Classic.




The XUV300 was the company’s third largest selling SUV. It sold 6,282 units in October 2022, which was 49 percent more than the 4,203 units sold in October last year. The company recently launched the TurboSport variant of the XUV300 as well.

Talking about Mahindra Bolero, it is a 7-seater SUV of the company. Bolero is a very old brand in the Indian market, but despite this, the company has kept it completely updated by changing its design and features, due to which it is very much liked by the customers. The Bolero is being sold at an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.47 lakh (Mumbai).

The company makes it available in three variants – B4, B6 and B6 (O). The Mahindra Bolero facelift gets the BS-VI compliant 1.5-litre mHawk75 diesel engine that produces 75 bhp power at 3,600rpm and 210 Nm of torque between 1,600-2,200rpm. This engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission.
