After this BE.07 and BE.09 will be introduced
Mahindra recently introduced the BE.05 electric SUV concept at its UK’s Mahindra Advanced Design Europe (MED). The electric vehicle is part of the Born Electric Vehicle family, which comprises three electric SUVs namely BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. Let us tell you that the company can introduce BE.05 in the Indian market in October 2025.
Mahindra BE.05 measures 4,370mm in length, 1,900mm in width, 1,653mm in height and 2,775mm in wheelbase. It is taller than Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos . Its wheelbase is longer than the Tata Harrier and Mahindra XUV700, while it is only 7mm shorter than the Jeep Meridian.
BE.05 is based on the company’s Heartcore Design Language and the Inglo platform. According to Mahindra, it is designed like a race car with a multi-sensory feel. The company is also calling the BE.05 a ‘sports electric vehicle’.
At the front, the BE.05 gets air inlets and outlets, arrow bridge on the bonnet, two air curtains on the bumper, coupe-like roof, arrow alloy wheels and the letters Tech Shield on the blacked-off grille, which shows that It will also have ADAS sensors. The company has said that the Inglo architecture will see level 2+ autonomy.
On the interiors, the BE.05 gets a dual-display setup coupled to a single-piece unit, steering wheel with 12 O’clock mark, fabric door handles and upholstery made from durable materials. Also Mahindra will offer 5G connectivity and over-the-air updates in it.
Among the XUV and BE brands, Mahindra has said that five electric vehicles can be launched between 2024 and 2026 namely XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07 and BE.09. The XUV.e8 will be first introduced in the country in December 2024.
