Willis Jeep production started in 1949

In the same year the company obtained the license to produce Willis Jeep in India and started production of Willis CJ33 Jeep. It was the first offroader car in the country to come with 4-wheel drive technology. A few years later Mahindra handed over the license of Willis Jeep to a Japanese company.
