Mahindra XUV700 AWD LUX deliveries started, its demand left many vehicles including Safari behind

Mahindra XUV700 has been in great demand since its launch. Starting from a starting price of Rs 12.95 Lakh to Rs 23.79 Lakh, the SUV tops the demand sales charts. In the last month, the SUV has outperformed more selling models like Harrier, Safari, Hector and Alcazar. Mahindra XUV700 was launched in India in September 2021. The deliveries of its petrol variants started from the last week of October, while the deliveries of the XUV700 diesel variants started from the end of November 2021.

The company had to postpone the deliveries due to huge shortage of semi-conductors as well as heavy bookings, which continues to this day. The extended waiting period is not only applicable for new bookings, but also for those who placed their order in the first round of bookings that started on October 7 and the second round on October 8.

Mahindra XUV700 AWD luxury variant deliveries begin

The deliveries of the Mahindra XUV700 diesel AWD variant with the luxury pack began earlier this month. The first owner of the XUV700 AWD+ Lux has taken delivery. Mahindra XUV700 is available in four trims of MX, AX3, AX5 and AX7 and both petrol and diesel engine options. Such is the demand of the XUV700 that the waiting period can be increased from 5 months to 20+ months (1 year and 8 months), depending on the variant.

As per the latest update, the base XUV700 MX, AX3 and AX5 petrol trims have the shortest waiting period ranging from 22 weeks to 27 weeks. The diesel variants get a longer waiting period of 33 to 35 weeks for the base MX variant, while the AX3 and AX5 variants have a 50-52 waiting period.

The top spec Mahindra XUV700 AX7 petrol variant has a waiting period of 77-79 weeks, while its diesel powered counterpart has a waiting period of 75-77 weeks. The AX7L petrol and diesel models get the highest waiting period of 86-88 weeks.

Mahindra has been updating the waiting period of the XUV700 regularly. The waiting period changes almost every week depending on the booking and delivery. The XUV700 had a waiting period of 75 weeks till December 14. Then on 24 December it was reduced to 71 weeks. As per the latest update, the waiting period has increased again and has reached a new high of up to 88 weeks.
