Mahindra XUV300 facelift spied testing

The leaked spy shots showcased that the new L-shaped alloy wheels, which were introduced recently in the XUV300, have been retained.

According to the spy footage, there are almost no discernible differences between the test mule and the previous XUV300 model, however the front has been camouflaged, suggesting that this is where Mahindra could adopt the design language of the upcoming XUV400.

The leaked spy footage showed that the new L-shaped alloy wheels recently introduced on the XUV300 were retained. These wheels are smaller than the previous ones.

The white roof, rear details and all cuts and folds are reported to remain the same as the outgoing model, however Mahindra is expected to make many changes to the interior.

The current XUV300 model features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, Bluesense Plus connected car tech with smartwatch connectivity capability, voice commands and SMS alerts, tire location and front/rear parking sensors.

Mahindra has launched the BS6 version of the XUV300 with petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.2 liter petrol engine produces 107 hp and 200 Nm of maximum torque, while the 1.5 liter diesel engine produces 113 hp and 300 Nm of maximum torque.

The XUV300 is fitted with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard and the diesel variants (W6, W8 and W8 optional) with 6-speed AMT. There are features like ABS with EBD, driver and passenger airbags and ISOFIX as standard, while AMT variants get additional safety features like ESP and Hill Start Assist.

The price of the XUV300 starts at Rs 8.30 lakh for the petrol variant and goes up to Rs 12.60 lakh for the top diesel variant. The XUV300 competes with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport in the sub-compact SUV segment.

Other features on the outgoing model include a reversing camera with adaptive guidance, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, projector headlights, micro-hybrid technology, light-sensitive headlights, built-in GPS navigation, power-folding ORVMs, dual-zone climate control , IRVM auto-dimming, anti-pinch sunroof and cruise control.
