Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Launch Timeline Details Revealed, Changes Expected

The new Mahindra XUV300 will continue to compete with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Kia Sonet in the Indian market.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift Launch: Mahindra has been testing a mid-life updated version of the XUV300. Now, details regarding the launch timeline of this updated model have been revealed.

When Will It Be Launched?

Mahindra is set to announce the prices of the XUV300 facelift in the country in the first quarter of the next financial year. Recently, information about the closure of bookings for the current model of Mahindra’s XUV300 was revealed. Last month, the company confirmed that production of the existing model has been reduced to make space for the updated model.

What Changes Can We Expect?

The 2024 model is likely to feature an interior with a larger touchscreen system, a new flat-bottom steering wheel, and a new gear lever. Additionally, an ADAS suite may also be offered. However, no changes are expected in engine and transmission options. It will retain three engine options, including two petrol and one diesel engine. These comprise a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol unit (110 PS/200 Nm), a 1.5-liter diesel engine (117 PS/300 Nm), and a TGDI 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine (130 PS/250 Nm). All these engines are mated to a 6-speed manual, while the diesel engine and turbo-petrol also offer a 6-speed AMT option.

Who Will It Compete With?

The new Mahindra XUV300 will continue to compete with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Kia Sonet in the Indian market. Brezza and Magnite are available only with petrol engines, while all other models offer both diesel and petrol options. Additionally, the electric version of the Nexon is also available in the market.
