Mahindra New Small SUV Launch: Homegrown car company Mahindra & Mahindra is all set to launch a new SUV in the domestic market, which could be positioned below the sub-4 meter compact SUV XUV300. Mahindra’s upcoming small SUV will compete with Tata Punch and Maruti Suzuki as well as Hyundai’s upcoming micro SUV Exeter. Recently it has been seen during testing. It is believed that this will be a new sub-4 meter SUV, which can also be a replacement for the KUV100. Car companies are trying their bet in a new segment by offering micro SUVs with good features at low prices for hatchback and sedan lovers.Could be the XUV200 name!
The upcoming small SUV from Mahindra could be introduced as the next generation KUV NXT or it could come as a completely brand new SUV. If Mahindra positions it below the XUV300 and slightly above the KUV100, then it could be called the XUV200. However, the company has not given any specific information about this, it will be known in detail only in the coming times. Mahindra may also launch an electric car based on the KUV100 in the coming times.
Will anything happen?
For the time being, let us tell you that the rear profile of Mahindra’s upcoming Micro SUV which has been seen in the spy image, along with the E20 fuel sticker on the windshield, high mounted stop lamp and integrated spoiler are visible. The front gets wide air intakes, sloping bonnet, tall pillars, rake front windshield along with vertically positioned taillamps and horizontal reflectors on the bumper. According to media reports, a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine is available in the upcoming Mahindra SUV. This SUV of Mahindra can be launched by next year.
