Delhi: Indian vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Thar SUV is one of the best selling models of the company. But, in the month of April the company is offering huge discounts on this car. Customers are getting a cash discount of up to Rs 40,000 on the purchase of petrol and diesel variants of Thar 4X4. The SUV is available in two trims AX (O) and LX.
three powertrain options
It offers three powertrain options. Which includes 1.5L diesel engine with 6 speed manual and rear wheel drive, RWD with manual and automatic transmission, 4 wheel drive system and 2.2L diesel engine with manual and automatic transmission and 2.0L petrol engine. Its 1.5L diesel and 2.2L diesel engines produce 300Nm/118bhp and 300Nm/130bhp respectively. While the petrol engine generates an output of 300Nm/152bhp. Thar 4X4 gets Electronic Brake Locking Differential. Which gives strong grip to the car on low traction roads.
new version coming soon
According to media reports, the company will soon introduce a new entry-level 4X4 variant of this car. Which is to be placed below the AX(O) trim. It could get either a 2.0L petrol or a 2.2L diesel engine. However, it will get fewer features than the AX(O) trim.
