The upcoming Mahindra Thar 5 Door is all set to take the Indian automobile market by storm. This SUV is known for its stylish design, excellent off-roading capabilities and powerful engine. Along with all these features, some new features will also be provided in the 5 door model.
Mahindra Thar 5 Door will have length of 4,095 mm, width of 1,840 mm and height of 1,855 mm. It will be a 5 seater SUV and its wheelbase will be 2,750 mm. Thar 5 door will get the same engine options as the existing 3 door model. This includes 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine and 2.2 liter diesel engine. The petrol engine generates 150 bhp power and 320 Nm torque, while the diesel engine generates 130 bhp power and 320 Nm torque. Both engines will be offered with the option of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Some changes will also be made in the interior of Mahindra Thar 5 Door. It will be provided with features like 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, electric sunroof and air purifier. For safety, it will be provided with features like ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, side airbags and rear parking sensor.
Expected price of 5 door Mahindra Thar
Price of Mahindra Thar 5 door is expected to start from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). This SUV will compete with SUVs like Maruti Jimny and Tata Nexon 5 door. Mahindra can launch 5 door Thar in March or mid of this year.
