One glance at Mahindra BE.05 is enough to charm you. From the profile point of view, it is reminiscent of the Range Rover Evoque and somewhat similar to the Lamborghini Urus. Also, Mahindra & Mahindra Chairman Anand Mahindra has promised that what is shown in these cars will be available in the production model.

Lead designer Pratap Bose says about 90 percent of the design will make it to production. The front fascia seems to be inspired by W Motors’ Fannier SuperSport. It gets Mahindra’s ‘Scorpion Sting’ LED DRLs, which complement the closed-off grille.

Also a lot of aerodynamic and scoop can be seen along with the air channels including a neatly done diffuser. Mahindra’s new heartcore design philosophy is really working in their favour. Apart from this, the aerodynamics gets sleek rear-view cameras instead of mirrors, flush door handles and large aerodynamic wheels.

The production model may have ORVMs or Mahindra may retain the cameras and the wheel size will definitely be reduced by 3 or 4 inches. The body cladding could be gloss black instead of unpainted. It gets a sloping roofline, which goes into the head space of the rear passenger.

Mahindra calls it SEV (Sports Electric Vehicle) and not SUV. Talking about the rear, it gets a sporty twin profile spoiler, which reminds us of a Lamborghini Aventador or a Nissan Magnite. It also gets a huge LED taillight and an attractive rear.
The main attraction of this concept is its interior. In this, the driver can feel like a cockpit while driving. The Mahindra BE.05 gets a fabric dashboard, which doesn’t come with the production model due to the dust in India. It gets metallic trims in copper shade, Skoda-like steering wheel with backlit BE logo.

It also gets an aircraft-style gear-selector and a large knob to control the infotainment and 4 buttons around it. It gets identical twin horizontal screens under a single glass pane, unlike the Mahindra XUV.E8, which gets three horizontal screens.

This electric SUV is very important for Mahindra. It is the smallest of the five electric SUVs, measuring 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,635 mm in height and 2,775 mm in wheelbase. In terms of size, it will compete with the Hyundai Creta and MG ZS EV.
