Mahindra Cars: Vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew by 87 percent to 29,852 units in August 2022 as compared to 15,973 units sold in the same month last year.
Mahindra Car Sales Report: Vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra’s (M&M) passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew by 87 percent to 29,852 units in August 2022 as compared to 15,973 units sold in the same month last year. The company said that it sold 21,492 commercial vehicles in the last month as compared to 8,814 units in the same month last year. M&M’s Automotive Division President Vijay Nakra said the demand in the company’s portfolio continues to be strong. Apart from this, the introduction of new vehicles like Scorpio-N, Scorpio Classic and Bolero Max Pick-up in the market has also helped in accelerating the growth.
Significantly, Mahindra has recently launched the Scorpio-N, which targets mid-size SUVs to full-size SUVs like Toyota Fortuner in the market. The Scorpio-N has also received an overwhelming response from the customers. When the company started booking for this, one lakh bookings were received in the first half hour itself. This shows how much craze among the people for this new product of Mahindra. However, the company says that the new Scorpio-N has nothing to do with the old Scorpio. The Scorpio-N is a completely new product. That is why, Mahindra has updated the old Scorpio and launched it in the name of Scorpio Classic.
Tata Motors total sales up 36 percent
At the same time, apart from Mahindra, talking about Tata Motors, its total sales increased by 36 percent to 78,843 units in August 2022, while the company had sold 57,995 units in the same month last year. Tata Motors’ total domestic sales in August increased by 41 per cent to 76,479 units. The company had dispatched 54,190 units to dealers in August 2021. Passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market increased by 68 percent to 47,166 units last month. A year ago this figure was 28,018 units.
