Mahendra Singh Dhoni launches Made in India drone, named ‘Droni’

New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has launched a quadcopter consumer camera drone on Monday. It has been named ‘Droni’. This drone is completely manufactured in India by Garun Aerospace. Dhoni has launched it as the brand ambassador of the company. The company had earlier showcased this drone at the Global Drone Expo in Chennai.

Droni is a new battery operated drone. It is specially designed for surveillance and monitoring. The company has not given information about its price and features. The drone could be launched in the market by the end of this year. The price and hardware details are likely to be revealed at the time of market launch.

Dhoni’s big stake in the company
Dhoni is not only the brand ambassador of Garun Aerospace Company but Dhoni also has a huge investment in it. During the launch, he said that during the Covid-19 lockdown, there was interest in agriculture. These drones are very important for farmers. The company has announced the launch of another drone called the Kisan Drone. This drone will do the job of spraying medicine on the crops.

Drones will be used for monitoring
Agniswar Jayaprakash, founder and CEO of Garun Aerospace, said that the new drone is completely built on indigenous technology. It can be used for different types of surveillance. It has high quality and seamless technology. It will be beneficial in different fields.
