Former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is most fond of cars and motorcycles. According to a report, Dhoni has recently bought Kia EV6.
With this, it has joined his car collection as the first electric car. In a video uploaded on Twitter, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is seen sitting in his new Kia EV6 along with cricketers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Kedar Jadhav.
The all-electric crossover’s signature shade of gray, the EV6, is currently being driven with a temporary registration number. Launched in 2022, the Kia EV6 is the carmaker’s costliest and first all-electric vehicle in India. The Kia EV6 was launched in India in limited numbers. Recently, Kia revealed that it has sold over 200 units of the EV6 in India since its launch.
Kia is now expected to increase the delivery of more units of the EV6 to India, however, it is not confirmed how many more units of the EV6 will be delivered to India in the coming months. The Kia EV6 was launched in India in two different variants with a starting price of Rs 59.95 lakh.
The base variant of the EV6 comes with a two-wheel-drive configuration with a front-mounted single motor that produces 229 bhp of maximum power and 350 Nm of peak torque. The more premium all-wheel-drive version runs on two electric motors.
The Kia EV6 gets a 77.4 kWh battery pack. With the help of which it gets 708 kilometer (ARAI certified) range. Which can be charged with a 350 kW DC fast charger. The EV6 is Kia’s first electric vehicle based on the Hyundai-Kia e-GMP platform.
The Kia EV6 currently rivals the Volvo XC40 Recharge and will soon take on the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which will be launched in the first quarter of 2023.
