Maglev machines have been successfully tested in China. They are already moving at over 200 km/h.

In Kita, a vehicle-mounted maglev technology was successfully tested, during which a 2.8-ton vehicle rose to a height of 35 mm and flew over the road.

The vehicle, developed by Southwestern Jiaotong University in Chengdu, has been heavily modified. For levitation, a permanent magnet structure was installed, and a track was laid along the road that allows the car to levitate.

The development of maglev vehicles will be in the spotlight in the coming years, according to Professor Dan Zigang, who hopes the technology can help reduce energy consumption and increase the range of cars in the future.

On the same day, another road test was carried out, this time at 200 km/h. In total, eight vehicles were tested on a 7.9 km section of the route, including five vehicles powered by new energy sources, the maximum speed of which approached 230 km/h.

The tests were organized by the local transport authorities and aimed at studying the design of roads and safety measures for high-speed driving.
