Made-in-India Citroen e-C3 electric car is being exported to Indonesia, it has got 0 stars in GNCAP!

Citroen e-C3 has initiated the exportation of domestically produced electric vehicles (EVs) to the global market.

Recently assessed under G-NCAP, the Citroen e-C3 received notably low scores, with G-NCAP even deeming the results as “Appalling” (‘Bhayavah’ in Hindi). Manufactured in India, the Citroen e-C3 is now earmarked for exportation from this locale. Citroen confirms that the Made-in-India e-C3 has commenced exportation to Indonesia. Noteworthy is the zero-star rating in the adult safety category and a solitary star in the child occupant safety category accorded to this electric vehicle by G-NCAP. Aditya Jayaraj, CEO and MD of Stellantis India, emphasized, “India not only serves as a strategic market but also a pivotal sourcing hub for vehicles, components, and mobility technologies within the Stellantis Group.”

In addition to the all-electric e-C3, Citroen also dispatches the petrol variant to the ASEAN and African markets. Equipped with a 29.2 kWh battery pack, the Citroen e-C3 boasts an ARAI-certified range of 320 km as asserted by the company. Its front-mounted electric motor yields 56 bhp and 143 Nm.

The vehicle demonstrates an acceleration capability from 0-60 km/h within an asserted time of 6.8 seconds, with a maximum speed reportedly reaching 107 km/h. Charging expedience is notable, requiring a mere 57 minutes for fast charging. The Citroen e-C3 lacks ESP but does come equipped with two airbags as standard.
