At the same time, the shares of Cupertino Company have also increased from 8.2% to 13.5%.
New Delhi. According to a report by International Data Corporation (IDC), Mac was the main attraction of the market in the third quarter of this year. Mac shipments grew by over 40% in the third quarter of this year as compared to the third quarter of 2021, while all other major brands reported a decline in their shipments in the same period. The personal computer market continues to decline during the third quarter of 2022, according to preliminary results from IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. There has been an overall decline of 15 percent in shipments.
According to the report, Apple is the only company whose shipment growth has increased. However, the company is at number four in terms of total unit shipments. Data shows that Apple shipped 7.1M units in the third quarter last year, which has increased to 10M in the same period this year. Brands are struggling in the market. At the same time, the Cupertino company increased its share from 8.2% to 13.5%.
The reason for the growth of Mac
One possible reason for this is that the company preferred its most expensive model at the time of component shortage. Apple changed its entire Mac lineup from Intel to Apple, and the MacBook Air also got a new design in June. The new Air Design is available in Silver, Space Grey, Starlight, Midnight and Gold colours.
The company has replaced the previous teardrop wedge shape with a simpler, flat-edged chassis. Like the 2021 MacBook Pro, its display has also been pushed closer to the edges with the notch. It has a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID Power Button and MagSafe Return for Magnetic Security Charging. Apple says that the new MacBook Air offers 18 hours of continuous video playback.
Wins in Customer Satisfaction
Apart from this, the slimmer bezels found in Mac have also increased the size of the display to 13.6 inches. Recently, in the US Customer Satisfaction Index, the company has beaten Samsung, Acer, Asus and Dell in customer satisfaction.
