Lotus Eletre electric SUV with 600 km range launched, will reach 100 kph in 3 seconds

British luxury car maker Lotus has introduced its 2024 Lotus Eletre electric car globally. The company has also disclosed the price of the car and its specifications. The Eletre electric car is the first SUV or first electric SUV from Lotus. The car will come in three variants, out of which the base variant will be capable of producing 603 bhp of maximum power and 710 Nm of peak torque, while the top variant will generate 905 bhp of maximum power and 1000 Nm of peak torque.

In terms of pricing, the starting price of the Lotus Eletre electric car is £89,500 (approximately Rs 74.23 lakh), while the mid-variant Eletre S is priced at £104,500 (approximately Rs 86.67 lakh). Its top trim is the Electre R, which has been priced at £120,00 (approximately Rs 99.53 lakh). The company says Electric SUV Deliveries will start in the first half of 2023.

Coming to the features. Electric Car All the three trims will come with 112kWh battery. However, there will be two powertrain options. The base variant and Eletre S will get the same electric motor producing 603 bhp power and 710 Nm of torque, which Lotus claims will accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds. Under the stringent WLTP testing cycle, both these models have a claimed range of 600 km.

On the other hand, the top-of-the-line Eletre R will have a dual motor setup, which will be capable of producing 905 bhp power and 1000 Nm of torque. Lotus claims that the SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 2.95 seconds and will have a range of 495 km on a single charge.

The company also claims that it will take only 20 minutes to charge all the three variants from 10 to 80 percent with DC rapid charger. The car has an 800V architecture and can support DC charging up to 350kW.

Talking about the features, this Lotus Electric Car Equipped with Hyper OS, it will come with a 15.1-inch OLED center screen. The system will be powered by two Qualcomm 8155 system-on-chips. The infotainment system gets features like on-board navigation, EV range assistant and predictive routing. The Eltre will come with a sound system equipped with Dolby Atmos and KEF Audio audio technology.
