New Delhi : BGMI Ban: The hugely popular Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) among gamers will no longer be available for download on Google Play Store and App Store.Reportedly, the game has been banned in India, following a government order. BGMI ban can be equated to PUBG Mobile, though not sure. which was banned last year due to its Chinese roots. According to reports, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar submitted a written report in the Rajya Sabha that there are reports and complaints that the banned app in its new avatar is doing the same thing PUBG is doing. Therefore, its report has been sent to the Ministry for investigation. BGMI is a rebranded version of PUBG Mobile.
Why was BGMI banned?
There is no clear reason for banning BGMI in India. But, according to a recent report, a 16-year-old boy shot dead his mother in an argument over an online game like PUBG. The incident is under investigation. Krafton Inc introduced BGMI to the market after the PUBG ban. Although there were some changes, it also included features from PUBG and this is believed to be the reason for the removal of the game.

Craften’s new game PUBG New State is still available for download on Google Play Store and App Store after BGMI removed it from the app marketplace. PUBG offers the same gameplay as New State or New State BGMI. But, its graphics are good. To download this game, you must have an Android device with at least 4GB of RAM and Android 6 and an iPhone supporting iOS 13 or higher operating system.
Why was PUBG banned?
Along with PUBG, the government banned several other Chinese apps last year. At the same time, after banning these apps, the government had said that there was a national security reason behind this decision.
