Lexus GX and TX: Toyota’s luxury sub-brand Lexus is preparing two new SUVs for India, which can be introduced in the next few weeks. Which will also include the second generation GX SUV. The new bumpy Lexus GX SUV will be launched in June 2023. Lexus may introduce another SUV called the TX three row SUV in the next few months.
New Lexus GX
The current generation Lexus GX SUV has been on sale in several overseas markets for a long time now and will be launched in India next month. This SUV will get a traditional body frame setup, which will be equipped with new off-road technology. Along with this, some top class new features will also be included in it. It will be a full size luxury SUV. Currently, the GX SUV only comes with a left hand drive system. It is sold in North American and Middle Eastern markets. However, the next-gen GX will also be produced in a right-hand drive configuration and this model has already been confirmed for launch in markets like Australia and Japan. This will include powertrain options with the next-gen Land Cruiser Prado.
Lexus TX SUV
The new Lexus TX SUV will be a new SUV in the global lineup for Lexus. This new SUV will be a monocoque vehicle and its underpinnings, body panels and some internal elements will be taken from the current generation Toyota Grand Highlander SUV. The company has released a teaser for the TX, in which the rear quarter glass area of the SUV has been shown, which shows the black colored D-pillar and large size windows.

The Lexus TX will be positioned above the RX SUV sold in India. However, the details of its powertrain are yet to be revealed. According to reports, the TX may get the same powertrain option as the Grand Highlander. There is a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol-hybrid with FWD or AWD, and a 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol with AWD.
who will compete
It will compete with other SUVs in the segment like the Mercedes-Benz GLE and the Range Rover Sport. The GLE is offered with a 2.0L diesel and a 3.0L petrol engine. Whose ex-showroom price is up to Rs 1.25 crore.
