Lexar Ares DDR5 memory modules presented

Under the Lexar brand, Lexar Ares DDR5 memory modules for desktop PCs have been unveiled this week. They are said to be “ideal for PC enthusiasts, avid gamers and content creators looking for a new level of performance, increased capacity and maximum energy efficiency.”

Modules operating at an effective frequency of 4800 MHz have one and a half times higher bandwidth than standard DDR4-3200 modules. For cooling, they are equipped with aluminum radiators. In the description, the manufacturer reminds that the features of the DDR5 modules include the supply voltage of 1.1 V and the presence of a built-in error detection and correction circuit (ECC).

Lexar ARES DDR5 desktop memory will be available online this month. Convenience store sales in the US and Europe, the Middle East and Africa will begin in the first quarter of 2022. But the modules come with a lifetime limited warranty. The source does not name prices.
