Last week, the government ordered the ban of 232 apps from units in China and other countries. These restrictions were imposed on betting, gambling and providing loan facilities illegally. Sources said that the government will lift the ban on Lazypay and Kisht included in the list of banned websites and apps. These apps have cleared their position in front of the government. A senior government official has also confirmed this development.

Government took immediate action

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Electronics and Information issued an order on Saturday on the emergency request of the Home Ministry’s nodal officer for online betting and gambling on 138 websites and 94 loan-giving apps. These apps were involved in money laundering and were a threat to the financial security of the country.

App and website banned

Fintech companies Lazypay, India Bulls Home Loan and Kisht were among the units that were banned. The websites on the banned list include badloan.com, cashtm.in, faircent.com, truebalance.n.uptown.com and mpocket.n.uptown.com.

Accused of trapping users

According to the reports, these apps related to loan or betting trap the users in their clutches. At the same time, even in the case of low loan, heavy interest is charged from the users. Apart from this, the representatives of these apps threaten people. In selected states, these cases were seen very high. That’s why the government banned the app running on the behest of the mentors sitting in China.
