Renault has nominally unveiled its upcoming coupe crossover called the Rafale.
It will be the flagship of the line, built on the CMF-CD platform, and we are not talking about an electric car. Yes, the Rafale will have a hybrid power plant, but the internal combustion engine will remain.
The car is clearly going to be big, as the company is talking about stepping up its offensive against the D segment. As for the name, the car was named after the C460 racing aircraft, which was later renamed the Rafale. Then Renault bought the Caudron company and founded Caudron-Renault, so it also dealt with aircraft.
A fully-fledged novelty will be shown at the Paris Air Show in Le Bourget on June 18.
