Lada is in last place – and that’s good. Published a rating of companies that recalled the most cars in Russia

PromRating has published a rating of car companies that recalled the most cars in Russia in 2022.

The first place was taken by the German Volkswagen, which recalled 75,396 Polo cars sold in Russia from April 2020 to February 2022. The second was Mazda, which recalled 19,795 Mazda 3, 6, CX-5, CX-9 and MX-5 vehicles. Third place went to General Motors, which recalled 11,158 Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Tahoe SUVs.

Audi follows with a recall of 2,486 A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, e-tron, Q7, Q8, RS, RS6, SQ7, SQ8, A4, A5, A6 and Q5 units. In the top five was Skoda, which recalled 1,824 Skoda Kodiaqs.

Sixth place went to Mercedes-Benz: 1,684 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (type 206) and Mercedes-Benz S-Class (type 223). Next come Peugeot – 966 Peugeot 408 and Peugeot Partner; BMW – 866 BMW X1 (F48 series) and X2 (F39 series); Infiniti – 689 Infiniti QX60.

AvtoVAZ was in tenth place, but in this case it is good. The manufacturer recalled a total of 593 Lada Niva Travel vehicles.

For most brands, the reason for the recall was problems with seat belts and airbags. These sinned Mercedes-Benz, BMW (X1), Cadillac (Escalade) and Chevrolet (Tahoe). Lexus cars, which had missed body welding points, were threatened with detached components and assemblies.

Niva Travel was recalled due to the risk of contact between the terminal and the protective cover.
