New Delhi: TRAI: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India TRAI Callers may soon start working on a system based on KYC. Currently, when someone calls you, only their number appears on the screen. But, after finalizing this framework of TRAI, you will also see the KYC name of the user on the phone. According to a senior official, TRAI may soon start building a mechanism to flash callers’ KYC Based names on phone screens. After this system, when someone calls you on the phone, his name will flash on the screen. This feature will work like a true call. The Department of Telecommunications has also asked Trila to start work on this. TRAI President PD Waghela said that consultations on this could start in the coming months. He further said, “We have received the reference and we will start work soon.
The name of the person with the SIM will appear:
PD Waghela said, “If this system is enabled, the name of the caller will appear on the phone screen as per the KYC made by the telecom companies as per the rules of the telecom department.” After bringing this feature, users will be able to avoid fake calls.
Can’t hide caller name:
This new KYC based procedure will be in accordance with the rules of the Department of Telecommunications. The KYC based process will help identify callers according to their KYC (Know Your Customer). In this process, telecom companies will have to enter the official name of all the customers, KYC. In addition, voter ID card, driving license or electricity bill receipt will have to be given as documents. This will greatly reduce the chances of fraud. The caller will not be able to hide your identity once the new KYC based process is implemented.
