Kumbh Mela News – Uttar Pradesh: Accused of threatening to stop the organization of Maha Kumbh Mela arrested in Bareilly – man arrested for making objectionable remarks about the Kumbh Mela on social media in Bareilly opnm2

The police has arrested a person who threatened to organize Mahakumbh in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. The 30-year-old accused had made objectionable comments about the Kumbh Mela on social media. After his post went viral, people’s attention was drawn towards it, after which the police was informed.

Bareilly Superintendent of Police (City) Manush Pareek said that a team of Premnagar police station arrested the accused on Friday night. The name of the accused is Maijan Raza. He had challenged in a social media post that he would not allow the Maha Kumbh Mela to be organised, no matter how many people he had to behead.

This matter came to light when many local people including Hindu organizations drew the attention of the police towards the post on X. According to the complaint lodged by Hindu activists, the post of the accused has hurt the faith of the Hindu community. After this the police had registered a case against the accused.

Earlier, Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu had also threatened to target the bath organized in the Maha Kumbh Mela. Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad had given a sharp reaction to this threat. Akhara Parishad had termed Pannu’s statement as an attempt to create division between communities.

Three terrorists of Khalistani Zindabad Force were killed in an encounter in Pilibhit. After this, Pannu’s threatening video was revealed. In this, it was said to disrupt the main bathing dates of Maha Kumbh on 14 January (Makar Sankranti), 29 January (Mauni Amavasya) and 3 February (Basant Panchami).

After this, Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad President Mahant Ravindra Puri had said, “If the person named Pannu dares to enter our Mahakumbh, he will be beaten and chased away.” We have seen hundreds of such madmen. This is Magh Mela, where Sikhs and Hindus are all one.

He had said, “Whatever Pannu has said to create division among us is not appropriate. It is the Sikh community that has preserved Sanatan Dharma. Like we have Naga Sadhus, they (Sikhs) also have Naga Sadhus. Both of them are one and the same and are soldiers of Sanatan. That’s why we don’t take these crazy people seriously.
