The Hero Dirt Biking Challenge is aimed at budding riders and bikers who want to continue their passion for off-road racing and make a name for themselves in the field. Reaching across different regions of the country to become truly nation-wide, HDBC will travel across 45 cities to find India’s top amateur off-road riders. The winner and two runners-up will get Hero MotoCorp’s popular bike Hero Xpulse 4V motorcycle and sponsorship contracts worth Rs 20 lakh from the company. To increase its popularity among the youth, HDBC will be aired on MTV in November 2022 and will be streamed on Voot.

Announcing the Hero Dirt Biking Challenge, Ranjeevjit Singh, Chief Growth Officer (CGO), Hero MotoCorp said, “The Hero Motosports Team Rally, the rally-racing team of Hero MotoCorp, has raised India’s flag in international rally racing and we are now proud of that specialization. Through HDBC, the youth of India are being brought for training. This will give a boost to the off-road racing culture in the country. The Hero XPulse 200 4V also now has an accessible option for the youth to pursue their passion for off-road riding. HDBC participants will also get a golden opportunity to be coached by the Hero Motosports Team Rally, one of the top international teams and the only team from India to have won the Dakar Rally.
What will have to be done?
After scrutiny of online applications, the first rounds will be conducted over several weekends in 45 cities and the selected contestants from this round will move to the regional rounds which will be conducted in 18 cities. Selected top-100 riders will go for a 5-day regional boot camp where they will get another golden opportunity. This time he will get training from famous Indian rider CS Santosh. The boot camp will conclude with a race and then the top-20 contestants will advance to the finals. The finals will take place at the world-class Center of Innovation of Technology (CIT), Hero MotoCorp’s state-of-the-art R&D center in Jaipur. The Hero Motosports team will rally the top riders at CIT for 5 days prior to the final race to choose the final winner of the coveted prize.
