Kia unveils its EV9, its amazing features are enough to win your heart

Kia Electric SUV Car: South Korean vehicle manufacturer Kia is continuously engaged in increasing its electric portfolio. The company has removed the curtain from its luxurious electric SUV EV9. Packed with the latest and advanced features, this car is the company’s flagship SUV car, through which the company is aiming to increase the sales of its electric cars to 1.2 million by 2022.

The company has not yet disclosed the prices of this car, but has given information about the features offered in this SUV. The company can launch this car for sale in the second half of 2023 in select countries of the world. The company can give more information about this at the Auto Show to be held in New York next week.

Basic Features

Kia EV9 has been built by the company on its Global Electric Modular Platform (E-GMP). Its wheelbase is 122 inches, length 197 inches, which puts it at par with other full size SUVs in the market. Which also includes the Telluride with Kia’s internal combustion engine. This platform is also used by Hyundai in its vehicles.

Power pack and driving range

After coming in the market, customers can buy it separately with the train, in which the option of 76.1kWh and 99.8kWh will be given. According to different variants and powertrain, this car will also be given the option of rear wheel drive and four wheel drive.

Apart from this, the company will also provide the facility of ultra fast charging with this electric SUV. Due to which it will provide charging capability to cover a distance of 239 km in just 15 minutes of charging.

Digital Services

Kia will soon launch stores in the name of Connect Store. Where customers will be able to buy digital features of their choice. Along with this, by using the app, you will be able to upgrade the features given in the vehicle. Apart from this, customers will also be able to upgrade the lighting and features of the car.

Lighting

This SUV of Kia has been given a digital tiger face on the front grill. The Kia EV9 also allows the customers to change its lighting patterns.

Cabin

Talking about the Kia EV9 cabin, it has been given a curved touch screen which runs from the front to the center of the driver. It gets 7 and 6 seater options. Its second lane seat has been designed to turn up to 180 degrees. So that two people can talk to each other comfortably if needed. Also, charging points are also available with cup holders.

Safety Features

Kia will give ADAS level 3 as a better safety feature in this SUV Kia EV9. Which is named Highway Driver Pilot. It will be offered in select markets only. For this feature 15 sensors 2 lidar, radar, camera to cover 360 view which can monitor the activities visible on the road and prevent any kind of accident.

Kia’s SUV electric car Kia EV9 will compete with cars like Land Rover Defender, BMW X5 Land Rover Discovery BMW X7.
