Seltos and Sonnet will get 4 airbags
In addition, many existing features from the higher variants are now being offered in the lower variants. With a greater focus on safety, Kia India is now offering 4 airbags across all lower variants by adding side airbags to the refreshed Seltos and the refreshed Sonnet.
Kia India has also announced that it will introduce two new colours, ‘Imperial Blue’ and ‘Sparkling Silver’ on these fresh editions of Seltos and Sonnet. The vehicles are equipped with a completely revamped Connect App to provide enhanced connectivity to its customers. The company has also introduced the first Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) technology in India along with the diesel engine in the Kia Seltos.
New gearbox will be available in diesel engine
The Kia Seltos has been updated with 13 new enhancements. The company has introduced the first Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) technology in India with the 1.5 diesel engine in the Seltos HTK+ variant. The SUV also comes in a new variant HTX AT powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
Seltos equipped with new safety features
Kia India has also provided paddle shifters with multi-drive and traction modes for all automatic variants of the new Kia Seltos for a sportier and more responsive driving experience. Apart from this, the SUV is also equipped with safety features like Side Airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Brake Assist, Hill Assist Control (HAC), Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System and All-Wheel Disc .
The new Kia Seltos gets disc brakes on all wheels similar to the standard model. Apart from this, the HTX+ variant of the vehicle also gets curtain airbags. To further enhance its appeal, design changes have been made to the D-cut steering wheel, SUS scuff plate and Seltos logo design on the tailgate. In the case of the Seltos X-Line, it will now be offered with the X-Line logo on the Indigo Para seats.
sonnet also updated
The Kia Sonnet has been updated with 9 new enhancements. To enhance its safety, the company has equipped it with side airbags and Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System (Highline TPMS). The new Sonnet will also offer key safety features like Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Brake Assist, Hill Assist Control as standard on the iMT trims.
In addition, curtain airbags will now be offered on the HTX+ variant as well. Customers of the new Kia Sonnet will get an advanced 10.67 cm (4.2 in) color instrument cluster from the HTX variant itself, so that they can get detailed information about the car and always feel in charge. The semi leatherette seat will now be offered from the HTE variant only. Like the refreshed Seltos, the new Sonnet also gets a D-cut steering wheel and an updated Sonnet logo on the tailgate.
