Kia, like any other automaker, has been actively developing the line of crossovers in recent years, but the automaker does not forget about sedans.
New spy photos show the Kia sedan, which should replace the Forte. According to reports, Kia may rename the car as K4, using the brand’s new strategy of alphanumeric names.
The new car has a sporty fastback-style roof line. The new K4 is expected to offer around 100 mm of additional wheelbase, suggesting that Kia will maintain the size difference between the Rio, which may be renamed the K3, and its replacement Forte.
While in the next Rio and the current Forte the handle is located in the usual place on the rear door, in the K4 the handle has been moved up to the door frame near the rear pillar, giving the car more of a coupe atmosphere.
The premiere of the current updated version of the Forte took place in June 2021, so the K4 is expected to be presented in mid-2024.
