Kia introduced its all-electric Kia EV6 in 2021. The car is known for its long range. Now its light version EV6 Air is also in front of the world, to show its power, Kia has planned a new campaign. Under the new plan, the EV6 Air electric car will travel more than 5,700 km, in which the car will pass through 15 countries.
TOI’s according, is planning to drive this Expedition Expert Max Adventure EV6 from Oslo, Norway to Lisbon, Portugal in just five days for the Kia EV6 Air. The ‘Driven To Extremes Euro EV Marathon’ expedition of 5,760 km will visit 15 countries in just 120 hours.
Reports suggest that in collaboration with Kia UK, the team will start the drive on 5 September and aim to reach Lisbon on 9 September (World EV Day). This is the second time the team is opting to use the Kia EV6. Prior to this, the company recently used the car to complete the first ‘Fen to Fell’ drive in an EV, a 334-km route from the UK’s lowest to highest roads. This was the first time that an electric car was used in it and the car accomplished this in a single charge, while it finally had a range of 171 km.
Team UK will reportedly use the ‘Kia Charge’ for easy access to the charger in Northern Ireland and all parts of Europe.
The EV6 ‘Air’ claims to offer a WLTP range of 525 km on a single charge. The car also comes with 800V ultra-rapid charging technology, which will charge the car in a matter of minutes at the pit stop. Let us tell you that it can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes using a 350 kW charger, or from 10 to 80 percent in 1 hour 13 minutes using a 50kW charger.
