Kawasaki launches Eliminator cruiser in Japan, will enter Indian market soon

New Kawasaki Bikes: Kawasaki has launched its 2023 Eliminator cruiser motorcycle in the Japanese market. This bike has been brought in two trims like Standard and SE. This bike is also expected to enter the Indian market. This bike will compete with Honda Rebel 300.

How is the design?

The retro styling has been retained in the new version of the Kawasaki Eliminator cruiser bike. It gets a round shaped LED headlight, a massive round fuel tank, dual piece seat setup and a cruiser stance with partially exposed frame. No chrome work has been given in it, which was found in the earlier Eliminator. The entire bodywork and parts have been given a black finish. Front and rear cameras have been given in the new Eliminator, which are used like dash-cams. It also gets a small biking fairing.

How is the engine?

The new Kawasaki Eliminator is powered by a 398cc parallel-twin engine that produces 47bhp and 37Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Important features like a full digital instrument console, speedometer, odometer, trip meter have been given in it. It gets telescopic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers with 310mm disc at the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS.

18 inch and 16 inch rear alloy wheels have been given in the front of this bike. The motorcycle weighs 176 kg and has a 12-litre fuel tank, seat height is 735 mm.

How much is the price?

The starting price of the new Kawasaki Eliminator cruiser has been kept at 7,59,000 yen (about 4.71 lakh Indian rupees) in Japan. While the price of its top-spec SE variant is 8,58,000 yen (about Rs 5.33 lakh). There is also a possibility of it coming to the Indian market in the next few times.

Who will compete with?

The bike will compete with the Honda Rebel 300, which is powered by a 286cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The initial ex-showroom price of this bike is around Rs. 2.30 lakhs.
