KamAZ has repeatedly announced the resumption of full-scale production of K5 trucks this year. As it became known now, together with the usual K5, the plant will start assembling an upgraded model – K5 Neo (KAMAZ-54901) with a new engine.
It is reported that the new 13-liter turbodiesel unit will make the truck more economical – consumption will be less by 1.8 liters per 100 kilometers. And the service interval will increase from 120 to 150 thousand km. Serial production of K5 Neo s will be launched in March. At first, both versions of the truck will be produced in parallel, but from the second half of the year, the K5 Neo will become the main product.
