According to Avtostat, the market share of trucks from China is rapidly increasing in Russia. This is indicated by the data of JSC “Electronic Passport” on sales of automotive equipment for the first week of July.
From July 4 to July 10, 2022, 582 new trucks of Chinese brands were sold in our country, accounting for 37.6% of the total. A week earlier (from June 27 to July 3), this figure was at the level of 35.7%. Before we reported that in June, 30.9% of all sales of trucks accounted for cars from China.
In the top ten most popular brands of new trucks for the first week of July, half of Chinese models. The first place is occupied by KAMAZ. Next comes Howo, with sales of 190 units. Third place with a score of 188 cars is occupied by Shacman/Shaanxi. Also in the top ten were the “Chinese” FAW (82 units, 5th place), JAC (71 units, 8th place) and Hongyan (27 units, 9th place).
During the first week of July, only truck sales increased by 2% of all automotive segments. Sales of “Chinese” increased by 7%. It is expected that their share will soon reach 40%.
