New Delhi. In 2023, companies can increase their tariff. There are many reasons behind this, but the main reason is that the ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) of the companies has also increased. Mobile companies are also considering increasing 4G ARPU. According to the reports, companies can increase their 4G Prepaid Tariff by mid-2023. Along with this, it has been claimed that in view of the elections going to be held in 2024, the tariff can be increased in 2023 itself.
According to the reports that have come out so far, companies can increase the price of both Prepaid and Postpaid Tariff. Even post users can also increase the price of plan rates. If the analyst is to be believed, the postpaid revenue is continuously decreasing. Earlier, in November 2021, the tariff was increased for the last time. Vodafone-Idea had increased the rate of mobile service by up to 42%. Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio also increased the tariff during this period.
Airtel and Jio have already clarified that they have no plans to offer 5G as a premium service. That is, now users will be able to enjoy 5G service only on the existing mobile plan. 5G service can be enjoyed even on the least priced plan. Telecom companies have paid a heavy price for spectrum and are also investing heavily on 5G network rollout. In such a situation, tariff prices can also be increased.
This is the reason that the Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) should be increased. It is being speculated that due to this the tariff prices can be increased substantially. If reports are to be believed then Vodafone Idea may increase the prices of Tariff by up to 25%. In such a situation, it is possible that all the companies will increase their Tariff Plans. Companies are also investing a lot on 5G infrastructure.
