The Jeep Compass Trailhawk will be launched in the Indian market as an off-road focused SUV, which will include a 4X4 standard drivetrain. The company is going to add some very special design elements to this car. Among its new design elements, new changes can be seen in the unique bumper, grille, body paint and alloy wheels.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is expected to get special cosmetic highlights in the form of restyled headlamps and a revised front grille. Additionally, the vehicle also gets new alloy wheels, tweaked bumpers and distinctive graphics. As far as the interiors are concerned, the Trailhawk is expected to offer special styling elements to differentiate the vehicle from the regular model.
The vehicle is expected to get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system running the latest Uconnect 5 system along with an all-digital instrument cluster. For convenience, the vehicle is expected to get a sunroof, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, dual zone climate control, connected car technology and many more. Apart from this, Amazon Alexa support, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support and over the air update (OTA) will also be supported in this car.
In terms of safety, it gets 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, hill descent control, panic brake assist, ready alert braking, electronic roll mitigation and brake lock differential, rain brake support, select terrain 4×4 system, automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is powered by a 2.0-litre, turbocharged diesel engine that produces 165 Bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 9 speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will also get a four-wheel-drive setup with Jeep’s Select Terrain system. We estimate that its price can be kept between Rs 30-35 lakh.
The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is being built on the common modular platform. It can be launched in India in March 2022. After launch, it is going to compete with Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300. More details about the upcoming model will be known in the coming days.
